Firefox Monitor
A web service that allows users to scan online accounts and see if they are included in any breaches. In addition to the website, Firefox Monitor offers a subscription service that will email you if your account is found in any new breaches. Monitor also has been localized in more than 26 languages.
As a UX Designer on Firefox Monitor, I worked closely with the product manager, content strategist, and developers to design the experience and ensure it was implemented according to specifications.

Along with the web service, Firefox Monitor also alerts users with a door hanger when they visit recently breached sites.

Information Architecture of Firefox Monitor
Below are screens of early design concepts that were used as prototypes to test the validity of Firefox Monitor in a Shield Study. These studies allow the testing of products/features with a small percentage of Firefox users. Working with data scientists and telemetry we were better equipped to understand how we are impacting our users. On top of the Shield study, we also worked with the user research team to run a qualitative study. From these studies, we uncovered important user issues, which we were able to iterate and solve for in future designs.

Prototype used for user studies
Once the studies validated Monitor was a feature users wanted to use. We took the qualitative user research findings and dove back into refining the UX and UI.
